Project Scope and Constraints

The Client engaged Intrivis Inc. to support a 1.4-acre site development project that included a proposed commercial building with a driveway and parking as well. The key requirements were:  
  1. Grading the site while maintaining the existing levels of the boundary roadways.  
  2. Designing a stormwater layout and a detention basin (pond) with water quality features such as a micropool and forebay. 
  3. Matching stormwater calculations originally done in Pond Pack using Hydraflow/HydroCAD 
  4. Providing a comprehensive water quality analysis in compliance with county regulations 
The challenge lay in ensuring that the detention basin design met critical storm event requirements and aligned with the Client’s existing modeling tools and expectations.
